Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a **Professor, Architectural Design & Construction Technology or Civil Engineering Technology (Thomas Edison Campus) **in the School of Business and Technology to join our team of exceptional faculty. The School of Business and Technology houses some of the most diverse Workforce Education and academic program offerings at the college, including College Credit Certificate (CCC) programs, Associate in Science (AS) degree programs, and Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree programs. The ideal candidate will have: A doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline or a master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline), or alternatively qualified with appropriate supporting documentation. A doctorate in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution of higher education is preferred. In some disciplines/programs, alternate qualifications may be accepted with appropriate supporting documentation and with the approval of the Vice President, Academic Affairs. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline. Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content. Salary Range: $51,207.89 - $58,762.46 (for two terms): the maximum salary is based on a doctorate education level and 10 years of verifiable full-time teaching experience. Required Skills Required Experience Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in ECE or related field with 12 ECE credits, preferred OR Current center-based preschool CDA with 12 ECE credits, and enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field to be completed within three years of the time of hire. AND Have access to reliable, insured transportation. Must have or obtain and maintain CT child care first-aid, and infant and child CPR, and medication administration certification. Provide a TVCCA Staff Statement of Good Health signed by a physician, physician's assistant, or nurse practitioner completed within twelve (12) months before the date of employment, and every twenty-four (24) months for current staff. Provide a written report of negative tuberculin test completed within twelve (12) months prior to the date of employment, or for a known prior reactor, no evidence of active tuberculosis on a chest x-ray. Must be able to lift and/or carry a child up to 50lbs. Have the credentials to obtain a Connecticut Head Teacher License from the Department of Public Health. Minimum of 18 years of age Be able to work 35 hours/week, 40 weeks/year. The TVCCA Little Learners and Head Start Early Education Program requires staff to be available from 7:00AM - 5:00PM to cover center operational hours on a rotational basis. Continue professional development per funding source requirements. Strong Computer and ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, staff and volunteers
