Aviation Systems Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local What You'll Get to Do The Aviation Systems Engineer will provide support to the Combat Systems Integration Departments Aircraft Carriers Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) program. Tasking will include: Assisting in resolving warfare system (aviation support systems) ship integration issues. Support warfare system (aviation support systems) ship checks. Develop and review warfare system (aviation support systems) drawing products. Conduct warfare system (aviation support systems) reviews of Ship Change Documents (SCDs). Conduct warfare system (aviation support systems) reviews of ship installation drawings (SIDs) Conduct warfare system (aviation support systems) reviews of installation documentation. Support the development of warfare system (aviation support systems) availability work packages (AWP). Other warfare system (aviation support systems) requirements. More About the Role Ten (10) years of General Surface Navy Combat Systems engineering experience with at least five (5) years of experience in a minimum of one of the following areas: Engineering investigation and resolution of combat system operational issues resulting in system performance improvements. The development of methodologies, models, or simulations for conducting engineering assessment to Aegis Weapon System (AWS)/Aegis Combat System (ACS) performance; combat system performance data analysis, simulation/development and maintenance. Development/maintenance of combat system element-level quality assurance and/or configuration management procedures. Computer program definition, design, development, test and multi-element integration. Combat system element-level and associated computer program documentation development/maintenance. Multi-element test plans/procedures development/maintenance. Exploration of new engineering war fighting capabilities for Carriers, Amphibious and/or Aegis ships. The design engineering associated with Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), ABMD, AWS and/or ACS enhancements.
