Wolf River Community Bank is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bank Teller to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, efficiently and confidentially handle financial transactions, and promote the bank's services. As a key member of our community-focused bank, you will help foster strong relationships with customers and contribute to their financial well-being. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist with their banking and safe deposit box needs. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, confidentially, and professionally. Provide information on bank products and services and refer customers to appropriate banking staff as needed. Cross sell products such as savings accounts, credit cards, and loans as appropriate. Advise customers on special product promotions. Transaction Processing: Accurately process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments. Handle cash, checks, and other forms of payment, always ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures. Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift and reconcile discrepancies. Security and Compliance: Follow bank security protocols and procedures to protect against fraud and theft. Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements, including anti money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines. Always maintain confidentiality of customer information. Adhere to customer verification requirements to always maintain confidentiality of sensitive information using established procedures. Possess a working knowledge of applicable bank regulations & policies, including Reg CC (check holds) and Bank Secrecy Act (Monetary Instrument & cash exchange log), CTRs, and SAR reporting. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products and services. Department Operations: Develop and maintain adequate knowledge to perform all opening/closing procedures, teller operational duties, and dual control requirements according to bank policy and procedures. Verify and balance assigned cash, scanned items, etc., consistently within standards. Ensure cash and cash items are balanced and secured throughout the day and at the end of each business day. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or training in banking, finance, accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be organized, able to work independently, and within a small group. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a customer service or cash handling role is preferred. Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using computers, knowledge of word processing and banking software. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
