Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of electromechanical systems and equipment used in our food production processes. Your expertise will help ensure that our production lines operate smoothly and efficiently, maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Repairs: Perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs on electromechanical systems, including conveyor belts, packaging machines, automated systems, and other equipment. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical, mechanical, and control systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. System Upgrades: Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems, including upgrades and retrofits to existing machinery. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to reduce equipment failures and extend the lifespan of machinery. Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Prepare reports and communicate findings to management. Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and production staff to resolve issues and improve processes. Qualifications: Education: Preferred but not required. Minimum 7+ years of experience without Journeyman card or associates degree Associate's degree or equivalent certification in Electromechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a Journeyman's card. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electromechanical technician, preferably in the food industry or a similar manufacturing environment Skills: Strong understanding of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, PLCs, and control systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA certification, electrical or mechanical certifications) are a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance. Capability to work in various environmental conditions, while adhering to safety protocols. Pay: Based off experience/education up to $42 an hour
