Join us in the journey!We are actively seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist-Programmer to join and grow in the PPG organization. The CNC Lathe Machinist-Programmer will program and operate Okuma lathe equipment utilizing Mastercam software or the OSP programming software built in to the Okuma controller. Surface finishes as low as 16 microinches; runouts, perpendicularity, concentricity as low as .0005"; positional tolerances as low as .001"Capability to read and interpret blueprints and technical be able to work independently and in group environments.Work with engineering to develop new processes for emerging product lines.Troubleshoot machinery as necessary.Program parts in a 2-axis lathe environment at a minimum.Work with other machinists to overcome challenges on the shop floorResponsible for assigning/selecting tooling necessary to complete a given parts in process, and record results (forms provided by quality).Other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, skills, and abilities3-5 years of precision machining and experience.Ability to produce tight tolerance partsExperience machining exotic metals such as Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum, and Stainless SteelAbility and willingness to set up and program new and existing machineryAbility and willingness to utilize existing resources or prepare a comprehensive list of necessary resources to complete projects on time and within budget3+ years of experience programming Okuma lathe or similar equipmentAbility to utilize programming software; Mastercam or like software Software specific training available as neededAbility to troubleshoot machining / program issuesExcellent problem solving and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team and results-driven environmentCompensationCompensation for this role is based on experience and demonstrated ability Salary Description Up to $40.00 per hour
