Job SummaryEMCOR Construction Services Midwest (ECS) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer in our Indianapolis, IN this position, you will lead the mechanical design team in the design of mechanical and plumbing systems with a focus on Educational and Government entities. You will provide engineering expertise for energy conservation strategies and MEP construction projects working under the Mechanical Engineering Manager.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCandidate will engineer and design all of mechanical building utility systems including but not limited to steam, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, medical gasses, and plumbing.Candidate will be familiar with all applicable code requirements.Candidate will be familiar with all aspects of the fast-track construction process of Design-Build.Candidate will be familiar with specifying of equipment i.e. Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Fans, Air Handling Units, etc.Candidate will mentor less experienced engineers.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.10+ years of experience.Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus.Self-motivated and committed to learn.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Autodesk AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.Specific interest in a career in designing Utility-HVAC-Plumbing systems using the Design-Build approach.Notice to prospective employees:There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.EMCOR Group and its companies list open positions here.Please check our available positions to confirm that a post or email is genuine.EMCOR Group and its companies do not reach out to individuals to help with marketing or other similar services.If an individual is contacted for services outside of EMCOR's normal processit is probably fraudulent.As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
