The Role DASH is currently looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. DASH is a fast-paced Fintech firm, and the Accounting Manager role will focus on process improvement across various parts of the business. Improving documentation, standardization and improvement of accounting policy, automating, and increasing efficiency and effectiveness of finance related processes is the main focus within the finance department. This resource will work with collaborating with all DASH teams including business intelligence, trading desks, and front office operations on ad-hoc projects to improve business operations and provide detailed analysis. The team rotates accounts/areas to ensure that each resource gets exposure to all areas of the business and develops a strong understanding of the entire business. Regulatory Reporting, Goodwill, Intangibles, Cash, Revenue, COGS, OpEx, Fixed Assets, AP, AR, Bad Debt, and intercompany transaction are some of the areas that this resource will get exposure too along with consolidation, and the production of IS, BS, and CF and the related footnotes. Responsibilities Individual will manage the monthly close process, including reviewing close schedules and related journal entries, documentation of various account reconciliations (both IS and BS), and the ability to articulate the nature of transactions within the financial statements. Ensure business transactions are captured and recorded to the GL in accordance with company policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles. This includes following the appropriate documentation and control requirements Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Prepare, on an ad hoc basis, various models or analyses to support the business decision-making process across finance and other business functions Coordinate and manage external audits and reviews, ensuring compliance and providing necessary documentation and support. Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and implementation of appropriate controls. Qualifications Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications 7+ years of accounting experience 1+ years of experience in public accounting, preferably with a Big 4 firm 1+ years of private industry experience CPA or CPA-eligible and willing to obtain certification Strong understanding of process and control frameworks with experience testing and documenting controls Working knowledge of GAAP and the ability to navigate and understand the ASC framework Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail Strong Excel skills Results-oriented Preferred Experience and Qualifications Financial Services or Broker-Dealer experience Experience automating processes NetSuite exposure/experience Salary Range The estimated salary range is $135,000 - $150,000. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills.
