This manufacturing engineer role involves developing, standardizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes through analysis, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance production efficiency, quality, and safety. location: Franklin, Indiana job type: Contract salary: $29.08 - 40.71 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Apply engineering principles to optimize industrial layouts and manufacturing processes. Analyze time, motion, methods, and speed in production to set standard rates and improve efficiency. Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, ensuring adherence to quality and reliability standards. Review logs, processing sheets, and specifications for quality assurance compliance. Plan work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, and production schedules. Create visual aids like charts and diagrams to illustrate workflows and material handling. Observe equipment operation and verify adherence to quality assurance standards. Skills: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD). Understanding part prints & designs. FMEA & Control plan creation. Basic understanding of gauging & part inspection. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree.
