We really get to know our patients to ensure that they are receiving exceptional, personalized care in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.Are you ready to bring your talent to this practice and join us in moving health care forward?Role OverviewWe are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support the practice onsite, Monday through Friday 7:45am-4:15pm. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. The vision is for our Medical Assistants to work 1 to 1 with their assigned provider while having the ability to rotate occasionally.Responsibilities include:Ensuring efficient patient flow through the officeAssisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areasInteracting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.QualificationsQualifications:•High school diploma or equivalent required•CMA, AAMA, RMA, CNMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification required•Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from a program approved by the American Heart Association required•Completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred•One (1) year technical/vocational training school program or one (1) to three (3) years experience as a medical assistant preferredEEO StatementIt is the policy of Cooley Dickinson Health Care to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
