Location: Farmville, VA Category: Classified Posted On: Mon Oct Job Description: Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Assistant Gift Records Manager / Administrative & Office Specialist III (00110) within the Office of Institutional Advancement. The successful candidate will be responsible for pledge/gift processing and reconciliation and assist with computer entry and validation. The Assistant Gift Records Manager will assist with the receipt, reconciliation, posting, acknowledging, and accountability for gifts to Longwood University. The candidate will also assist with routine report generation and customer service regarding gift transactions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process incoming funds to Longwood University using Raiser's Edge fundraising software Analyze constituents' accounts, records, and solicitation motivations to prepare pledges, gifts, payments, and deposits for entry Resolve discrepancies through examination of reports and other records Reconciliation to be completed daily Maintain files and documentation pertaining to gifts Serves as a backup to the Gift Records Manager Works closely with Development staff regarding gifts and biographical information Create and assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date biographical information on students, parents, alumni, staff, local businesses, and other prospects Import information on constituents Review all updates received by mail, phone, social media, and online community to ensure accurate information is in Raiser's Edge Runs validity reports to ensure accuracy in Raiser's Edge Assist with general administrative work as needed or requested Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of accounting principles Experience maintaining financial records Microsoft Office work experience Exceptional customer service skills Strong, effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team Perform work duties with accuracy and the ability to work independently. Superb listening skills Working experience with fundraising software is preferred Experience in a higher education environment is preferred Additional Information: This position is a full-time, classified, non-exempt position with a minimum salary of $40,000.
