Job Type Full-time Description Title: Senior Project Engineer (Commissioning) Trade: Commissioning Reports to: Managing Principal Position Overview: We are looking for a mid-level commissioning and building systems engineer to work within a growing team on a variety of projects. The role works directly under the Managing Principal; there is a high potential for growth and leadership opportunities. Under the tutelage of the Managing Principal, you will work on becoming a known subject matter expert. This is a career-development role that requires a moderate skill set and developing proficiency. The role involves completing small to medium projects with minimal oversight and contributing to overall team objectives. Who We Are? Role Responsibilities: As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be involved with using standard design techniques. In your role, you will: Perform professional building and system commissioning work by conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, resources, layout, usage, and systems to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, and installation or operating permits Create documents such as commissioning plans, commissioning reports, design qualification equipment, facility, and utility protocols, and final reports LEED Commissioning Fundamental, Enhanced, and Monitoring-Based Commissioning Write comprehensive reports which include the following sections: recommendations for optimizing building operations (Energy Audits) Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, accurate reports, sketches, calculations, technical drawings, spreadsheets, and 2D/3D illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of data, findings, or analyses Manage several concurrent projects that are in various stages of design, construction, and warranty periods with managerial supervision Local travel to project sites; there may be travel to California, New Jersey, and Miami as needed Requirements Education : Bachelor in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience. PE license is preferred. Experience : Minimum 3 years experience in commissioning Proficient with technical writing of documents such as commissioning plans (CMP): user requirements specifications (URS), risk assessments (RA), factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), pre-functional tests (PFT), functional tests (FT), commissioning test plans (CTP), integrated system tests (IST), maintenance, calibration, and spare parts Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems: the ability to read, interpret, and correct P&IDs, and experience with working in construction environments CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or approved Equivalent CBCP (Certified Building Commissioning Professional) or approved equivalent Starting Salary Range: $90,000 - 100,000 + bonus eligible Actual base salary may vary based upon, but is not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
