Dedicated to improving the quality of life of our patients, Kansas Spine practices a team approach, providing patients with access to a specialized team of , anesthesiologists, pain management, internal medicine physicians and nurses.OverviewAssesses, plans, implements, and coordinates care for the patient in the pre-operative, special procedure, and post anesthesia care units. Responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of critical Responsibilities:Assessing patients' pre-operative health status and preparing them for surgery, including obtaining vital signs, starting IV lines, and administering medications as needed.Providing thorough patient education regarding pre-operative procedures, post-operative care instructions, and potential patients closely post-operatively for any signs of complications, including pain management, respiratory status, and surgical site assessment.Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.Qualifications & RequirementsAssociate's degree from an accredited two-year college or university, or diploma in nursing. BSN desired. Possession of valid state license as Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas. Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required or within 60 days of hire.Minimum of one-year experience in PACU, Emergency or ICU. One-year Pre-operative experience in surgery center or hospital setting preferred.
