Job Type Part-timeDescriptionJOB TITLE: Medical AssistantLOCATIONS: ChicagoSALARY: $18 - $21 per hourType: Part-time (Tu-Th 8-5)Duties and Responsibilities:Work closely with the physician to prepare patients for examination and procedure.Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and terviews patients and records all gathered information in the patients' chart.Uses Ultrasound during interventional procedures.Ensure the patient's medical information is up to physician and patient medical equipment and municate effectively with provider.Support the office coordinator and physician liaison.Maintain a quiet and peaceful environment that promotes healing.Handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity, and within the HIPAA Laws.Travel between assigned clinic locations as needed.Other duties as assigned. Requirements•High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree.•Proven working experience as a medical assistant.•Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures•Knowledge of medical terminology•Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.•Social perceptiveness and service oriented.•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.•Strong organizational and planning skillsPreferred Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree•1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant•Knowledge of ICD-10 codes•Experience with medical pre-authorizationsAt Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine, we value, welcome, appreciate, and celebrate differences.
