Position: Clinical Worker Position Summary: As a Clinical Worker you will be a catalyst for positive change in the lives of youth and families. Job Description Job Title: Clinical Worker Department: Therapeutic Foster Care Title of Immediate Supervisor: Clinical Director POSITION SUMMARY: Counsels and provides therapeutic interventions to individuals, and biological families requiring assistance of agency. Additionally, provides supervision and training to resource families. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 1. Counsels youth individually, in family, or in other small groups regarding plans for meeting needs, and aids youth to mobilize inner capacities and environmental resources to improve social functioning. 2. Refers youth to community resources and other organizations. 3. Secures supplementary information such as employment, medical records, or school reports. 4. Provide case management services to the youth assigned. 5. Will maintain and manage case records in accordance with the Department of Social Services and Family Court guidelines. 6. Will maintain timeliness and quality of written reports and records. 7. Will provide individual, family and group treatment as indicated in the service plan. 8. Will manage and develop the resource foster parent group to which assigned. 9. Oversee aspects of resource parent certification including the file in collaboration with home finder. 10. Will provide reports and assessments and recommendations to referral agencies including Family Court. 11. Will take a learning stance relative to professional development including utilizing clinical supervision, reading and training. 12. Will serve as a liaison and ambassador for the agency and the community. 13. Will serve as advocate for children and families consistent with the ethics of social work. 14. Will be available for crisis intervention. 15. Foster parent recruitment and training as designated by supervisor and home finder. 16. Directly supervises one TFC youth counselor. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. 17. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining emp1oyees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 18. Maintains small child Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Certification and First Aid/CPR Certification and Community Safety Training as provided by Agency. 19. Attends all mandatory in-service training and regularly attends supervision meetings. 20. Continued professional development of state-of-the-art therapies that provide a healing experience to children and families through supervision, direct practice and training. 21. Provide services to SILP youth as assigned by supervisor. 22. All duties as assigned by immediate supervisor. Must comply with Agency safety standards and be responsible for own actions and conduct concerning safety and healthy working conditions.
