Machine Maintenance Technician Adecco is assisting a client in Syracuse, NY seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join their team! The roles primary responsibility will be performing maintenance and repairs on Clients' equipment. This Machine maintenance Technician position is Temp to Hire with a salary range of $24.00-$30.00 doe. Summary: The Maintenance Repair Technician is responsible for maintenance and repairs of all Client's equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :-Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.-Inspects, monitors, repairs and maintains complex company equipment (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems).-Repairs or replaces defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.-Maintains and calibrates various equipment (CNCs, vacuum pumps, oil systems, BTA oil separator, water heaters, buffing booth, etc.)-Conducts thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent downtime.-?Performs work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events.-Reviews manufacturers' service manuals, own establishment's usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for each machine.-Maintains all records relating to planned and completed maintenance.-Works with production managers to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with production-Cleans machine, tooling, and parts and performs machine maintenance as required.-Able to troubleshoot machine issues-Assists in training and informing employees of the Preventive Maintenance Program.-Fabricates benches/equipment & assembling.-Monitors and records inventory used (tooling, supplies and raw materials) and notifies appropriate personnel.-Process cooling water filter changes-Basic troubleshooting/diagnostics of HVAC & plumping equipment (RTUs, water heaters, etc.)-Responsible for housekeeping and safety practices as it applies to this work environment.-Completes training programs both in-house and at external locations as needed.-Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Job Competencies: -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and training documents.-Technical and mechanical abilities-Communication proficiency-Results driven-Must be able to understand and follow verbal and simple written instructions.-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision-Detail-oriented and organized-Basic math knowledge (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and converting fractions and decimals)-Must have a valid NYS driver's license and maintain a good driving record. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of machine maintenance experience required. 5+ years of machine maintenance experience is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) highly preferred.Other QualificationsKnowledge of equipment using Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems; Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) for each type of machine. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, reach with arms and hands, and have hand and finger dexterity. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
