Reference #: THE POSITION The Department of Agriculture is seeking a committed and diligent candidate to take on the role of Administrative Officer 1 within the Federal Commodity Division. This position involves engaging in a diverse range of tasks associated with federal nutrition initiatives. If you possess relevant experience in these fields, we encourage you to submit your application today DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role supports the Child Nutrition Program Administrator (CNPA) in overseeing a commodity inventory exceeding $80 million, which is allocated for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), the Child and Adult Care Feeding Program (CACFP), and the Summer Feeding Service Program (SFSP). Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must possess a valid Class C driver's license. You must possess a bachelors degree (in no specific area). You must possess knowledge of the following federal feeding programs: National School Lunch Program (NSLP) Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Seamless Summer Option (SSO) USDA Department of Defense Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (DoD Fresh) You must possess at least one year of experience with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint. You must possess experience with school nutrition. You must have experience working with K12 Foodservice, ProcessorLink, monthly processor reports, and food management. You must possess knowledge of ServSafe and food safety. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
