This role involves extensive use of CAD software (SolidWorks) to create detailed designs that enhance production efficiency, ensure product quality, and maintain safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.•*RESPONSIBILITIES**- Design and develop tooling, jigs, forms, and other equipment to support manufacturing Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new tooling, form, and jig designs.- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure designs meet operational needs.- Perform testing and validation of new tooling, forms, and jigs to ensure functionality and performance.- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, form, and jig performance.- Develop and maintain documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guidelines.- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing processes.- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety Provide technical support and training to production staff about tooling, forms, and jigs.- Lead the introduction of production jigs and forms, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.- Procure all components and materials for jigs and forms.- Collaborate closely with engineers assigned to projects to understand final product requirements and incorporate them into jig and form designs.- Serve as a key member of the new product team to ensure project timelines are met.•*QUALIFICATIONS**- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.- 5+ years of experience in tooling, form, and jig design within a manufacturing environment.- Demonstrated experience leading the introduction of production jigs and forms.- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production equipment.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.- Highly collaborative team player.- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.- Knowledge of Metal Processing (plasma cutting, brake press, welding).- Computer skills - MS Office.Pay: Weekly/FridayCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
