About the job Sr Principal Engineer WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH You will be based in one of our global technology hubs in preferably in Atlanta (GA), Waltham (MA) or New York City as part of our Technology & Digital (T&D) function.At our firm, we are constantly evolving with the rapid pace of technology and helping our clients in winning with game-changing strategies, solutions and products. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will shape and accelerate the delivery of target state cloud-based platforms, migration of legacy assets and development of innovative cloud-based solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for building and leading engineering activities for various development efforts across the domain and help accelerate the firm's cloud-first transformation. You will play an influential role across the global engineering community and help drive the adoption of the modern technology stacks in collaboration with various teams across multiple technology functions, the broader firm and external strategic partners. You will design and implement cloud-native engineering frameworks and accelerators, technical capabilities and reusable components to deliver innovative products, insights and services. You will be responsible for leading the technical architecture of products and integration solutions across proprietary and partner ecosystems. You will also lead an expert team of engineers that work with technology product groups across the global hubs to build target-state platforms and migrate existing applications and products. You will lead the next-gen product development to enable our firm functions colleagues in performing their work efficiently. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and partners across product, architecture, design and operations teams to drive the overall transformation while providing technical leadership and mentoring to the broader engineering teams. You will also partner with the firm's information security group to devise and build secure-by-design cloud ecosystem, ensuring compliance with privacy, regulatory and data residency requirements. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors or Masters degree in technology or related field 12+ years of experience in software engineering 4 years of experience developing cloud native applications preferably on AWS (S3, EKS, Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, Load Balancers, EFS, RDS, SQS, SNS, Elastic Beanstalk, Amplify, API Gateway, etc.); working knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP and global enterprise networks Experience as a hands-on leader with deep engineering track record in modern tech stacks, frameworks and programming languages Certified as AWS solutions architect professional/associate, AWS DevOps professional and/or AWS developer strongly preferred Experience in building highly scalable, resilient, performant web applications and services using Python, Java or other high-performance languages Expert hands-on knowledge of public cloud products and cloud-native architectures Expertise with serverless frameworks, application and data security, and integration services Proven track record in containerized (Docker/K8s) applications, microservices, event-driven architectures, service meshes and complex integrations with SaaS/ERP systems. Deep expertise working with SPA, including ReactJS, Redux, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, ECMAScript 6, WebPack Expertise with CI/CD, DevSecOps, code quality and security scanning, monitoring and tracing tools Experience driving continuous up-skilling and cross-training initiatives and solutions to maintain and update engineering skills and delivery readiness including building and leading highly effective and agile web application engineering teams
