Cerity Partners is searching for talented, bright, and motivated individuals with the highest level of personal integrity to join our Fund Accounting and Operations team for the summer of 2025. The Fund Accounting and Operations intern will work with a team on daily tasks focused on delivering client outcomes. The team provides outsourced investment services to endowments, foundations, and other institutional investors. As an Intern, you be responsible for providing administrative and project support to the Operations, Accounting and Finance teams, including assisting with daily transactions, reporting, month-end close and audit support. This is a paid internship program which requires an availability of 40 hours per week and a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a professional environment. This role is ideal for someone looking for authentic exposure to the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory. Interns are expected to work in a hybrid model with both in person and remote work. Primary Responsibilities: Assisting the team in monitoring client correspondence. This includes, but not limited to, daily review of emails, retrieving and saving documents (such as capital call and distribution notices, KYC/AML requests, tax documents, audited financial statement, performance, capital account statements, monthly/quarterly letters, etc.), creating reminders to ensure timely action is taken. Assist with month-end close and perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Help with Accounts Payable transactions including data entry, expense report processing and filing. Take part in cycle counts with Accounting and the Operations teams. Perform ad hoc projects and tasks related to internal and external requests. Ideal Candidate Profile: Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications. Familiarity with Excel and key formulas like VLOOKUP and performing pivot tables. Strong decision-making skills with a high attention to detail. Strong presentation and communication skills.
