Software Dev Engineer - Software Dev Engineer IV

Title: Software Development Engineer IV Location: Redmond, Washington Duration: 11 month contract +possible extensions Compensation: 55-65hr (dependent on years of experience) Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. Job Description- The candidate will participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations. This includes designing and implementing a wide range of software using AWS stack, sometimes requiring partnership with low level embedded code software systems and architecting scalable design solutions for software distribution and deployment for satellites. You must be able to disambiguate high level of ambiguity and unknowns, design flexible solutions and able to succeed within an open, collaborative environment. Experience developing large scale systems with focus on operational excellence and scalability is essentail. -Key job responsibilities Software architecture and design Understanding of AWS stack -Docker, IAM, Lambdas, Cloud Watch, API Gateways Understanding of automation, monitoring and operational excellence -Key job responsibilities • Software architecture and design and development • Understanding of AWS stack - IAM, Lambdas, cloud watch, API gateways, EC2 • CDK constructs and pipelines • Build tools for developer productivity, monitoring and observability metrics dashboard Basic qualifications • 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience Golang/ PHP/Python/Java backend services programming • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience • Experience as a mentor and leading a development project Preferred qualifications • 8+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Position Our benefits package includes: Comprehensive medical benefits Competitive pay 401(k) retirement plan ...and much more!
