The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing packaging engineering projects, writing test protocols and reports, creating CAD models and drawings, conducting thermal tests using FEA techniques, maintaining lab equipment, and providing support to the sales group with test data and project status reporting. Key Responsibilities: Numerical simulations and analysis of Cryopak solutions using FEA techniques. Simulation using Ansys and experimental measurements for validations (environmental chambers). Conception and design of prototypes. Technical reports and attending meetings with clients. Reading and understanding mechanical engineering drawings (2D & 3D). Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals such as the objective or purpose of the project, applications that can be used from findings, costs of the project, and equipment and human resource requirements. Oversees key projects, processes, and performance reports, data, and analysis. Plans documentation system. Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones. Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures. Approves and submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds or allocates funds from the department budget. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as the preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences to inform management of the current status of each project. Works with the manufacturing, operations, and quality manager to review and monitor quality and process improvements and new product development. Directs the review of production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance the profitable operation of the division. Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain engineering requirements to develop new markets. Directs appropriate support for manufacturing and quality functions within the organization. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Packaging, or related Engineering discipline. 5+ years of experience in packaging engineering or a relevant industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and 3D/2D CAD modeling/drawing. Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer principles, packaging materials, and testing standards (e.g., ASTM, ISTA) and FEA techniques Strong written and verbal communication skills.
