Job Description Core Job Responsibilities To set direction provide entrepreneurial leadership in the Security department in order to maximize individual team potential develop future capability To inspire exceptional team performance mentor supervisors team members To build team capability, knowledge resources to meet long term business objectives To formulate and effect the Hotel's Security Policy, ensuring that the Hotel's property, assets, staff and guests are protected from loss, damage or threats Initiate investigations and ensure clear, concise and factual records are taken and maintained Coordinate the security and protection of visiting VIP's, ensuring close liaison with outside agencies Coordinate security for functions and events Coordinate and supervise, where necessary, the services of outside security officers employed by the hotel for specific requirements Maintain proactive communication with other managers regarding relevant security matters To develop, deliver document Hotel wide Health safety training plan to build understanding ensure Hotel Compliance to Regulations Collaborate with Training Team benefits manager to execute plan To provide strategic planning long term development operational, financial service goals of the Security department Develop new Security concepts approaches, and create new services standards Accountability for day to day P L in area Anticipate future guest trends align security services Develop manage complex projects To act as a key spokesperson for the Security department of the Hotel in to achieve Hotel vision build enhance positive brand image Communication with internal external stakeholders Design lead cross departmental Hotel Wide meetings, events conferences Trouble shooting in complex security/service situations Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 Requirements Education Police/services background Recognized qualification in Security and Health and Safety Experience Extensive experience in security role - preferably in more than one Luxury Hotel Experience of Police and /or emergency services Preferably security/military/Police background Functional Knowledge First Aid trained and qualified Good knowledge of hotel and security legislation Strong knowledge application of police and criminal law (PACE) Knowledge of fire, health and safety Ability to write clearly, objectively and concisely Good command of both written and spoken English Training qualifications
