We are a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Director of Quality . This position reports to Vice President, Operations and will work in one of our US based locations with travel to other facilities (travel estimated at 50%). As Director of Quality , you will be a resource to Quality departments at all locations and is responsible for the consistent administration of all related policies and initiatives. The Director also ensures that all internal and external quality standards and requirements are met by building a strong ISO program. Lastly, responsible for leading the root cause, corrective action, and continuous improvement efforts as it relates to our product quality. General Responsibilities Develop, implement, mentor and foster acceptance of a Dometic Marine quality management system (Global Marine QMS) Work with the cross functional teams to develop and implement a safe launch plan that supports the launch of new products Drive any necessary culture change and improvement in business performance to deliver the quality related strategic goals Working with Divisional Quality Leads to cater to regional or industry nuances by adjusting and/or implementing new quality processes and systems where appropriate Represent Dometic Marine Quality to the Global Headquarters and other Dometic entities Create and implement strategies to promote quality achievement and continuous improvement across the organization Develop the quality goals (in conjunction with Dometic Group) and KPI targets for the organization's strategic plan Maintain a constant awareness of the business context and company profitability Supporting Divisional Quality Leads on product specifications assessment and customer requirements Ensure each facility adheres to processes for compliance with national and international quality standards Ensuring that the Quality Leads are considering the application of environmental and health and safety standards Working with site QA and Operations to define processes and procedures Work with the facility VP/GM to formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures (Global Marine QMS) Work with each facility to have defined quality control procedures set-up and ensures GM/VP or designate maintains controls and documentation Identification of quality-related training needs across the division In conjunction with the GM/VPs, ensure internal auditing and continual improvement to product or services Work closely with the Director of Strategic Sourcing to evolve the supplier scorecard process. The scorecard should be to drive performance, quality and monitor overall supplier performance Work with Divisional Quality teams to assess suppliers' product specifications and quality plans through the PPAP process Work with the VP/GM's to develop robust actions for scrap, warranty and customer complaints reductions to KPI targets Maintain / Implement ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 across all Marine sites What do we offer? Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences: Engineering Degree with a focus in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing disciplines; related Technology diplomas/certificates. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. Minimum of four (4) years concurrent management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Three (3) to five (5) of experience working within an ISO Quality Management environment is a required. Quality Management or Quality Engineering certifications are highly desirable. Experience with APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, and time management skills, able to effectively manage complicated situations and solve problems quickly. Excellent proficiency in data analyses. Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and lead diverse personalities across functions and sites. Individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have excellent follow up skills with strong attention to detail. Advanced proficiency with MS Office programs including: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and PowerBI; and, the ability to learn other applications quickly. Solid English verbal and written skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work well independently and as part of a strong team.
