The Renfrew Center has opportunities for individuals of diverse, social work backgrounds, that have the desire and passion to foster a positive outcome and impact on our patients' lives.The Renfrew Center's research-based treatment model, for eating disorders, is focused on treating the whole person and helping them lead a rich and fulfilling life.Responsibilities:Counsels patients on principles of well-balanced nutrition in individual sessions and conduct group nutrition discussionsPrepares individualized meal plans that consider the needs of the patient including: medical, nutritional, age, cultural, religious and ethical concernsProvides at minimum weekly individual nutritional counseling for patients and family (as needed)Conducts nutrition education groups that are appropriate for adult and adolescent populationsProvides updates on the nutritional status of each patient weekly as part of team rounds/meetings and as requestedCompletes all required documentation and reports in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with the policies and proceduresParticipates in development and updates of patient cycle menuManages inventory and food ordering/restocking for weekly food ordersCommunicates effectively with other departments to provide the high-quality patient careDemonstrates accountability for the proper use of patients protected health informationParticipates in presentations of scheduled in-services and other appropriate training activitiesUtilizes supervisory feedback to improve performanceMonitors meals and snacks, including eating/modeling normal eating with eating disordered patientsEducation, Competencies and Credentials: Registered Dietitian with current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration(CDR) and up to date continuing education creditsLicensed in the State of PA.Bachelor's degree in dietetics required; Graduate degree preferredMinimum of 2-3 years nutrition counseling experience preferredExperience with eating disorder population preferredHours:Per Diem as neededThe Renfrew Center provides cisgender adolescent girls and adult women, transgender, and non-binary individuals with the tools they need to succeed - in recovery and in life.
