Details: L.J Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as an Emergency Management Leader. In this role with our client based in New York City, you will be responsible for the prevention, mitigation and preparedness for our client's Construction and Development. Accountable for the scope, delivery and continuous improvement of emergency preparedness, prevention, and mitigation functions, including the policies, procedures, programs, systems, and other elements necessary to increase safety and reduce risk across the agency; responsible for coordinating the reduction in the likelihood and severity of risk associated with emergency incidents Responsible for meeting federal, regional, and local regulations and obligations regarding emergency management preparedness, prevention, and mitigation Assists in developing emergency management training and exercises as necessary Manages and cultivates multiple strategic and operational partnerships, not only internally, with senior management teams (across all functions including construction, transit, but, and administration) Represents our client on internal and external emergency preparedness activities, committees, task forces, teams, and meetings Acts as a member of an on-call 24/7/365 leadership team to provide technical support, coordination, oversight, and specialist advice in response to all types of incidents as deemed necessary Tracks and reviews the quality, effectiveness, impact, and compliance of the preparedness, prevention, and mitigation activities and other functions delivered by the team Job Requirements Details: Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Risk Management, Business Emergency Management, Operation, or other related fields Minimum 5 years of accomplished experience in emergency management prevention, mitigation, and preparedness, working in complex operational organization Experience preferred with ICS operations, NYS EOC, and ESF Experience coordinating with other agencies and external stakeholders Ability to manage multiple strategic and operational operational partnerships, not only internally with the agency's executive and senior management teams, but also externally with local and regional agencies The ability to assume responsibility and exercise sound judgment Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Applications, including SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Certification preferred in the field of Safety or Safety Management System (Transportation Safety Institute), Emergency Management (IAEM) or other field related to Prevention and Mitigation
