Kriss & Feuerstein LLP, a boutique real estate law firm located in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our thriving Commercial Bankruptcy Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing team in a collegial and collaborative environment, conveniently based in Midtown NYC. The Ideal Candidate: Admitted to Practice: Must be admitted to practice law in New York State with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Admission in New Jersey is a plus. Lender Representation Experience: Has significant experience representing commercial mortgage lenders in enforcement proceedings involving commercial real estate. Bankruptcy Court Expertise: A proven track record of success in the Bankruptcy Courts for EDNY and SDNY, including experience with motion practice, evidentiary hearings, trials, and appeals. Litigation Proficiency: Confident and capable in all aspects of litigation, from drafting to negotiation. Bankruptcy Code Mastery: Skilled in utilizing the Bankruptcy Code to negotiate, draft, and implement settlement agreements, plans and workout solutions with borrowers and other creditors.
