Winston Benefits, a Brown & Brown company, is seeking a Technical Account Specialist to join our team! The Technical Account Specialist supports our clients in aspects of the day-to-day servicing of their employee benefits and plan administration. The position will report to the Account Servicing Manager but will work directly with the Account Managers on the implementation and ongoing servicing of accounts. What You'll Do Analyze data within client specific imported and exported files to ensure accuracy. Trouble shoot any errors on files and resolve discrepancies. Communicate directly with insurance carriers to make updates and ensure eligibility is in sync. Research, analyze, and understand data elements in The Admin Tool. Critically examine very detailed information and report any inaccuracies in findings. Perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel and other related tools. Validate software functionality by performing system release testing for client websites, enrollment transactions, and internal administrative systems to validate the configuration and functionality. Verify dependents and review documentation received to ensure it is accurate and compliant. Follow up with employees when necessary. Upload documents to participant's accounts. Work with life events, new hire transactions, and other pertinent transactions and the rules associated with that client. Review member coverage records and ensure they are accurate. Make manual adjustments in the company's system as needed. Ensure eligibility record requirements are met by performing manual carrier updates (emergency, or as needed), due to employee eligibility changes. Research issues and provides customer service to clients and their employees by providing problem resolution. Proactively escalates potential client and member issues to the Account Manager. Works independently, maintains composure and effectiveness in a deadline driven environment. Completes assigned tasks in prescribed timelines consistent with deliverables and asks for support and direction as appropriate. Assists Account Team with escalated client issues. Participates in product or client related projects or trainings. Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Need Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. Bachelor's Degree or at least 3 years solid business experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Comfortable working in software applications.
