BI Engineering Manager /nDirect Hire /nRemote /n /nTriumph is seeking a BI Engineering Manager for our client in Richmond, VA. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager with a strong background in PowerBI and Data Management within the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will lead our BI and QA teams in developing and optimizing our data integration and business intelligence capabilities. /n /n This position is based in the US, with preference given to those candidates located near our Richmond office; however, will consider remote working for the right candidate. /n /n What you will do /n Leadership and Management: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of data BI and QA specialists. Ensure the team delivers high-quality and timely project outcomes /n/n Day-to-Day Management: Run daily scrum meetings to ensure Analysts are meeting our SLAs. Collaborate with our Product teams to understand requirements, integrate data into the Global Data Warehouse and meet our application release dates /n/n Business Intelligence: Manage the development and enhancement of our PowerBI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business users across the company /n/n Project Management: Manage projects from conception to implementation, including scope definition, timelines, stakeholder communication, and resource allocation /n/n Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for data processing and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of data reports and dashboards /n/n Data Integration: Work closely with data engineering teams to drive the design and development of data warehouse to meet our business intelligence and analytical requirements /n/n Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest industry trends in BI technology and insurance analytics. Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team /n/n /n/t Foster a team culture of continuous development /n/t Be available for on-call support as needed /n /n /n What you require for the role /n /n /n/t Demonstrable experience in analytics and management roles with a focus on Power BI and Microsoft database platforms /n/t Experience in the Insurance industry with a solid understanding of underwriting data needs and compliance standards /n/t Proven expertise with Microsoft PowerBi and SQL /n/t Experience working in DevOps (managing resources/capacity, release pipelines and source control) /n/t Strong experience with agile and software development lifecycle work - including design, build, code review, testing, release and bug fixing /n/t Project management experience, with a track record of leading successful technology projects /n/t Strong analytical and problem-solving skills /n/t Excellent verbal and written communication skills /n/t Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field preferred /n/t Technical expertise & capabilities within your field /n/t Ability to productively leverage data and technology /n/t Open, innovative and inclusive mindset /n/t Collaborative spirit /n/t Results-oriented and growth mindset /n /n /n Preferred qualifications /n /n /n/t Azure platform: Data Factory, Data Lake and SQL Database /n/t JSON file processing/analytics /n/t Statistical analysis software (R, Python) /n /n /n Conduct Standards /n/n /n/t You must act with integrity /n/t You must act with due skill, care and diligence /n/t You must be open and cooperative with the FCA, the PRA and other regulators /n/t You must pay due regard to the interests of customers and treat them fairly /n/t You must observe proper standards of market conduct /n/t You must act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers /n /n/n /n #Dice /n
