SUMMARY Candidate is responsible to assist the Facilities department in order to perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical and vehicle servicing. This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all inclusive, but a general illustration. • Candidate must be knowledgeable in the procedures and required safety measures necessary to complete daily tasks. • Candidate must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the maintenance field. • Perform assigned work according to tickets received and projects as outlined by management while striving to minimize guest, team member and operational impact and adhering to policies and guidelines specific to work areas which may be regulated. • Ability to manage time effectively to complete a large number of varied tasks in many different work areas. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent. Vocational skills desired. LANGUAGE ABILITY Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. MATH ABILITY Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. COMPUTER SKILLS Knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC's are preferred. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have any supervisory responsibility. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level can be loud. Candidate will be exposed to smoke when on areas within the smoking patio. Candidate must be organized and be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The employee will be required to sit, stoop, bend, climb, reach and stand for extended periods of time. Employee must have excellent dexterity of hands and fingers to complete daily tasks. Employee is required to lift and carry up to 50lbs independently and more than 50lbs with assistance. Employee must be able to talk and hear in order to ensure proper communication. This job requires strong vision skills, including close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
