A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLUMBING AND HVAC PROJECT ESTIMATOR In this estimation role, your day kicks off bright and early with a team huddle where you set goals and address team priorities. You check your task list and emails, diving into estimates and project coordination. Some days you're out in the field, gathering crucial details for accurate estimates. Back at the office, you're busy consulting with clients, reviewing blueprints, and creating detailed cost estimates. Afternoons are filled with follow-ups on estimates, managing material orders, and ensuring tasks are completed on schedule. Throughout the day, you maintain stellar communication with customers, offering prompt and professional service. REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing estimating or a similar role Basic knowledge of plumbing, electric, and HVAC systems Strong understanding of building codes and regulations Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver's license and reliable transportation WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION This full-time estimation role is based in Delaware, OH. Your regular hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility for early starts or late finishes depending on workload, meetings, and training sessions.
