The Principle Agilist sits within the Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) and is the chief architect of the agile framework and modern ways of working adopted by the Connected Vehicle Software (CVS) organization. This role will be central to enabling the engineering organization responsible for all software and electronics in all Ford vehicles as we build truly software defined vehicles. In this role you will listen to understand the needs of the organization and then marry together what you hear, your knowledge, expert guidance and agile best practices to define, publish and evangelize our carefully tailored agile way of working. Responsibilities What you'll do... Own, define, document, and curate the agile framework and ways of working that will be adopted by the Connected Vehicle Software organization Define CoE success metrics, and establish the analytical capabilities and rhythm to adopt the metrics, take action on the, and measure and report outcomes Identify trends and generate original ideas to contribute to the development of new policies, processes and best practices while evangelizing good agile hygiene in processes, systems, and tools Instantiate an agile and growth mindset across Connected Vehicle Software through visible thought leadership and championing activities at all levels of the organization Earn and maintain your status as the agile and modern ways of working subject matter expert through continuous learning and application of your knowledge to solve tough, complex issues Maintain a robust high-quality network of agile practitioners and thought leaders both internally and externally to routinely being new ideas to the CoE Work collaboratively across the CoE to design a portfolio of coaching engagement service offerings that can be repeatedly and consistently deployed to drive adoption of the framework and best practices Qualifications You'll have.. . Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of experience as a Principle Agilist, Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or similar roles leading agile transformations in complex enterprise environments Up-to-date agile certifications for scrum, kanban, and SAFe Even better, you may have.. . Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and MBA Certification and experience implementing Lean Six Sigma Exceptional communication (oral & written) and collaboration skills in cross-functional, diverse environments Demonstrated history of driving agile transformation in an industrial or combined hardware and software environment Experience implementing advanced agile approaches such as extreme programming (XP), paired programming, and the use of AI agents, copilots, and tools in software development Persuasive storytelling abilities enabling you to promote your ideas at the highest levels, gain alignment, generate excitement, and instigate momentum in complex matrixed environments A hyper collaborative mindset and ability to partner with teams and leaders regardless of level Tenacity, grit, and a persistent sense of urgency with a bias for action (even in ambiguous and fluid situations) You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
