Salary: $ 65,000.00 We have partnered with a research, design and manufacturing company in the Mt. Laurel, NJ area to provide them with a Quality Specialist/PCQI. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested. Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Quality Specialist/PCQI: #1. Must have at least 2yrs of two years document control experience and/or training or equivalent. #2. Must have Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Food Science or related field. #3. Must be able to Monitor and perform FSC food safety training, updates and documentation for all staff. 4. No more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years. Responsibilities of the Quality Specialist/PCQI: Supports the SQF program through the development, control and maintenance of associated food safety documents. Ensures documents are secure, accessible and readily available to staff. Maintains consistent readiness for all facility audits. Supports FSC SQF Program and duties of the SQF Practitioner. Through PCQI training and the knowledge of the fundamental HACCP principles is responsible for daily evaluations, decisions and dispositions of non-conformances including raw materials, WP and finished goods. Participates in assessments for new equipment commissioning and process changes. Conducts review and sign off on completed production records. Builds, maintains and troubleshoots digital production process. Manages document control to maintain SQF certification, FSMA program and participates fully in SQF audits, FDA Audits and other 3rd party audits, as needed. Monitors and performs FSC food safety training, updates and documentation for all staff to ensure compliance and verification of training for pre-requisite programs. Coordinates for internal audits, inspections and annual update reviews of documents controlled in Unipoint. Lead participant of the HACCP Team and Food Safety Committee - under direction of the SQF Practitioner for coordination of meetings, minutes and assignments. Manages reference manuals/notebooks relative to SQF Program requirements - verifications, validations, overall quality manual. Ensures documentation is maintained and readily available to demonstrate all food safety programs including: SQF, HACCP, Food Safety Pre-requisite Programs, FSMA/FSPCA and customer specific needs. Works with the responsible supervisor or manager of relevant documents, forms, specifications, SOP's and work instructions. Develops and evaluates various documents for the food safety team including critical trend reports reflecting sanitation standards and KPI's for annual audit presentation and monthly executive reporting. Assists in the review of documentation developed by key departments before finalization. Manages electronic files in Unipoint and shared drives and provides training for staff to maximize effective use of resources and development of reports and trending reviews. Monitors progress on training, annual review of documents, non-conformances and corrective and preventative actions and works with Supervisors as necessary to support Unipoint use and reports status to the Quality Manager and Food Safety Committee. Supports mock recalls and customer complaint investigations in TGI and maintaining documentation on trending within Unipoint. Documents updates and any new policies, procedures, monitoring records, work instructions, specifications and other documents that are needed to meet SQF code via listing of records, locations and responsible staff. Develops, designs and creates materials, documents and other forms of communication for the continuous development and improvement of FSC Food Safety initiatives. Ensures that all documents are controlled using document registers, proper document identification and placement of documents in secure electronic areas, with provision for adequate back=up (test at least annually in business continuity exercise). Communicates effectively with management and other departments. Provides ongoing practitioner support as assigned (maintains SQF certification, as back-up). Follows all company standard operating procedures and policies. Follows all food laws and regulations for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and FSC procedures to maintain proper food safety standards which apply to manufacturing, distribution and sale of all its products. Serves as backup to Quality Control Technician/Quality Control Coordinators as needed. Acts as liaison for Quality Manager when requested to take part in cross functional meetings or projects. The Quality Manager/SQF Practitioner shall perform, or otherwise provide for, these responsibilities in the absence of the Quality Specialist/PCQI. Requirements of the Quality Specialist/PCQI: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Food Science or related field from four-year college or university and a minimum of one to two years document control experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
