Position Type: Day Care Program/Site Supervisor Date Posted: 6/17/2024 Location: Hampton/Kolb Starting at $14.34 per hour. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To assist the District Early Childhood Facilitator in the establishment and monitoring of staffing, children and budget of the Before and After School Programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To assist in the administration of the Standards of Quality for a child care programs. To assist in supervising of personnel. To assist in the development of curriculum. To assist in the development and implementation of the Program Guide, Health Policy and Procedures and Staff Handbook. To assist in the implementation of the Child Care Licensing rules and regulations To assist in the compiling, submitting, and review written reports as required for the Programs. To assist in the scheduling of staff according to the number of children. To make sure family billing cards are current. Completing weekly deposits. Make sure weekly children's numbers, payroll, DHS billing have been submitted properly. To assist in the record keeping of the programs. To assist in any other areas of need as directed by your supervisors. DIMENSIONS OF POSITION To assist in the supervision of children and personnel assigned the Before and After School Programs, to administer curriculum, to counsel children, parents and staff and to plan and supervise all aspects of the program as assigned by your supervisors. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education Requirements: 1. Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood is preferred- from an accredited college or university as determined by the Michigan State Department of Education. 2. Meet the minimum requirements as stated by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services Office of Children and Adult Licensing; Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers for a Program Director. B. Minimum General Requirements: Background knowledge of State of Michigan Department of Human Services Office of Children and Adult Licensing; Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers. Must have the physical stamina to work long and flexible hours. Demonstrate ability to organize and operate programs. Demonstrate the ability to communicate both verbally and in written form with school administrators, staff, parents and children. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community; skill in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements, Board of Education policies, and applicable State and Federal laws.
