POSITION SUMMARY: Manages the corporate benefit programs, policies and procedures. Plans, implements, communicates and administers the health and welfare programs. Manages the 401K Plan. Responsible for ensuring the programs meet the employee needs, comply with the legal requirements and are cost effective. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS : Manages the corporate healthcare programs by reviewing and comparing healthcare plans to maintain an optimum medical, dental, disability, vision and life plan for employees at an optimum cost. Analyses and recommends plan changes, modifications, and/or outsourcing for cost effectiveness. Oversees the administration of the COBRA, FMLA, Workers Compensation, Flexible Spending Account, and Section 125 plan. Works with independent auditors and TPA's for the financial and 5500 reporting. Manages the requirements of the 401K program by ensuring the Plan Document and SPD are in accordance to the guidelines set forth by ERISA, DOL, and the SEC. Monitors daily to ensure the website, enrollments, loan requests, distributions are properly prepared and distributed. Analyses the quarterly and annual compensation/payroll reports for computing employer contributions. Ensures quarterly dividends are properly disbursed. Prepares and submits the minutes of the quarterly Company Retirement Committee meetings. Report on the Plan's quarterly activities. Works with independent auditors for the financial and 5500 reporting and the Plan record keepers. Manages the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Oversees the Benefit Policies and Procedures. Stays abreast of HR trends & innovative techniques, legal regulations & practices. Provides facilitation of Human Resources services, programs, and policies for all employees within system. Contributes to the design, administration, interpretation and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures. Responsible for the supervision of assigned staff and exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations. Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position. Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Conducts training in orientation for New Hires. Partners in development and implementation of effective policies and procedure development. Performs all other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience preferred. Prior Human Resources or related field in Benefits (i.e., healthcare, 401(k), etc.) preferred. Familiar with a variety of benefit concepts, practices and procedures Ability to meet deadlines and work with no supervision; manages time for high productivity and allocates resources to match production needs. Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and carefully monitor, follow through, and complete every project/responsibility. Effective public speaking. Superior business writing and proofreading skills. Strong, well-honed reasoning and decision-making abilities. Ability to protect the confidentiality/privacy of others, and of company documents and records. Good PC skills--proficiency in Word and Excel essential. Requires excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills. Requires proficiency with PC utilization and software. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel over night, as needed for trainings, meetings, projects, etc. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
