Office of Family Assistance The Office of Family Assistance (OFA) oversees cash and food assistance programs, work support programs for recipients of cash and food assistance, and refugee programs. What You'll Do In this position, you will support the Office of Family Assistance by providing administrative supports to OFA's Deputy and Assistant Deputy Directors as well other OFA Leadership. Responsibilities include: Assist with HR duties including scheduling interviews, maintaining HR documents, attending biweekly HR meetings, and working with HR staff Monitor, respond, and direct mail from the OFA Mailbox Monitor, respond, and redirect mail from the Out of State Inquiry Mailbox Manage various calendars as assigned Schedule Meetings for OFA Leadership Address office needs by submitting tickets for technical, custodial, and other needs NECESSARY SKILLS: Moderate to proficient use of Microsoft Word (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) English grammar and composition Operation of personal computer and office equipment Ability to respond to sensitive email inquiries Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Requires 2 in office days -- Tuesday and Wednesday and 3 work from home days (Monday, Thursday, and Friday). Travel: R equired, as needed. Must provide own transportation or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid drive license. NOTICE: This position is overtime eligible. PN: . Qualifications The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following: OPTION 1 : 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in secretarial/administrative professional field. OR OPTION 2: Completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college and 12 mos. exp. in secretarial/administrative professional field. OR OPTION 3: 12 mos. exp. as Administrative Professional 2,16872. OR OPTION 4: Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above. Pay Information T his position is in the State of Ohio's E1 Exempt Pay Schedule, Pay Range 10 . Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $25.76 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
