Description Reports to the Director, Digital Design and Customer Experience. For all Beacon Health System hospitals and other entities, this role is responsible for developing digital access experiences based on strategy and from creation through maturity. Responsibilities include the vetting, implementation, and scaling of digital products and vendors for Beacon Health System in coordination with Digital Access Strategists. Digital platforms can include online scheduling, web experiences, the Oracle Health patient portal, patient text communications, provider directory, digital intake, and digital patient feedback. Oversees the day-to-day activities and workload of assigned Digital Access Strategists. Supervisory or management skills preferred. Responsibilities Fosters a transparent, participatory digital leadership environment by: Collaborating with the DDCE Director to understand strategy for digital access and to develop campaign, experience, and product direction; Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendor representatives, application users, and program owners; Acting as a liaison between departments, sites and/or agencies to facilitate work flow; Promoting positive leadership through collaboration, cooperation and communication across functions and partners; Resolving conflicts by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies. Maintains accountability for relevant digital projects by: Developing business plans/strategic plans for key service lines including building projects, acquisitions, capital projects, and any other projects; Analyzing available data and analytics to provide recommendations on campaign/project scope, market reach, and any changes in direction needed; Creating campaigns/projects and overseeing technology implementations along with Digital Access Strategists that meet Level 0/1 goals, Digital or Portal Roadmap milestones, and/or any other initiatives as identified by senior leadership; Demonstrating project control internally through measurement, assessment, planning and reporting of key outcome measures (metrics); Leading creation of estimated project timelines, resources, costs, and return on investment (ROI) analyses as tied back to strategic priorities; Reviewing projects to assure compliance with federal regulations, departmental guidelines or funding requirements; Managing troubleshooting issues that arise with any digital products, in coordination with Digital Access Strategists and IT and other leadership; Monitoring all projects and work assignments in progress and providing periodic status reports to the Director. Coordinates Digital Access staff and activities to design and deliver on projects by: Overseeing the day-to-day work of Digital Access Strategists; Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with vendors, and coaching Digital Access Strategists on their day-to-day working relationships with vendors; Assisting the Director in recruiting, hiring, evaluating, and coaching the staff; Ensuring that all department associates hold superior and current skillsets relative to their positions at Beacon; Removing project obstacles and developing solutions with Digital Access Strategists and others as appropriate. Qualifications Education and Experience The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree. Master's Degree preferred. Requires a minimum of seven to ten years of experience in progressively responsible positions with healthcare or other relevant industry experience. Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in digital experience is required. Knowledge & Skills Requires the supervisory skills necessary to effectively plan and organize the day-to-day work of digital access projects and initiatives. Demonstrates expert administrative operational knowledge, inspirational thought leadership, innovation skills, and positive conflict resolution. Requires complex business project development and portfolio experience. Requires the ability to navigate and work in a dynamic, fast paced and often changing high growth environment. Requires the high-level analytical skills necessary to plan, control and direct activities and resources related to planning, scheduling and to evaluate program goals, objectives and outcomes. Requires critical thinking, decision making, negotiation, creativity, and problem-solving skills and consensus-building skills. Must be detail and process oriented. Demonstrates the communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively. Requires well-developed public speaking skills. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills as reflected by the ability to build relationships and successfully interact tactfully and effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization and with external constituencies and elicit cooperation and support. Working Conditions Works in an office environment. May be required to travel to off-site locations. Hybrid work environment.
