The Opportunity: NetCentrics is looking for a driven and dynamic individual to lead our Accounting & Finance function. The ideal candidate will not only excel in accounting principles but also possess strong financial analysis skills, the ability to develop financial models, and a knack for supporting strategic business decisions. This position reports directly to the CEO. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Ensure all reports comply with GAAP and relevant regulatory standards. Coordinate and manage the annual audit process with external auditors. Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making. Develop and maintain efficient financial reporting systems for streamlined data collection. Accounting Operations: Lead and manage core accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and the general ledger. Ensure accounting policies, methods, and principles are properly enforced. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity. Manage fixed assets, ensuring proper capitalization and depreciation. Oversee general accounting functions including month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance in financial statements. Handle tax filings and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations. Perform account reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies. Support audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations. Continuously improve internal controls as needed. Internal Controls and Compliance: Design and implement a robust internal control system to protect company assets and ensure financial record accuracy. Maintain compliance with all applicable financial regulations. Regularly review and update accounting policies and procedures. Manage financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate exposure. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with company goals. Monitor actual performance against the budget, analyzing variances. Provide recommendations for cost control and operational efficiency. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Analyze financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Offer insights and recommendations to support senior management's decision-making. Collaborate with business units to support their financial needs and help develop financial plans. Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including variance analyses and cash flow forecasts. Contribute to strategic initiatives and business growth plans. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus). CPA certification is a plus but not required. 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, including financial analysis or FP&A. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Payroll/HRIS systems. Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Government Contracting. Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
