Your role / Job duties Deliver direct oral hygiene care and preventive services to clinic patients, ensuring top-notch clinical care. Assess patients' baseline oral hygiene status, focusing on periodontal health to tailor effective treatment plans. Record patient interactions and care provided in their dental records, ensuring accurate and complete documentation. Provide personalized oral health education and counseling, empowering patients to maintain optimal oral health. Perform clinical services, including dental cleanings, scaling, sealant, and fluoride applications, in line with professional standards and state regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate dental hygiene care into patients' overall health management. Maintain dental areas in compliance with OSHA standards and clinic policies, ensuring safety and cleanliness. Handle patient communications, including telephone calls related to dental care, ensuring professional and timely responses. Assist with the proper disposal of contaminated materials following safety protocols. Comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing the practice of dental hygiene, maintaining personal licensure and certifications. Qualifications / What you need Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program (REQUIRED). Licensed to practice dental hygiene in the State of New Hampshire.(REQUIRED) Current CPR certification. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish professional relationships across disciplines. A deep understanding of public health, social, and economic factors that influence oral health. Job Status Work Location(s): Somersworth NH Portsmouth NH Hours per week: Per Diem Schedule: M-F 8-5 Pay: $41.00to $46.25 per hour commensurate with experience and Licensure PER DIEM Hourly (Non-Exempt) Benefits All regularly scheduled employees working at least 32 hours per week are eligible to receive full benefits; those working 24-31 hours per week will receive prorated benefits.
