Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial Date Posted: 5/26/2023 Location: Building - To Be Determined Date Available: To Be Determined Closing Date: 08/07/23 or until filled Job Summary: Responsible to carry out job duties as described in the assigned work area. Building assignment and work area are subject to change on a daily basis. Individual will be expected to assist in building wide events as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for students, staff and related public guests. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or successful completion of GED. Ability to follow instruction and work well in a team environment. Must possess the ability to perform the duties required by the job. Prior to assignment, participate in district training on proper cleaning methods and safe use of cleaning supplies is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and the ability to work alone with limited supervision. Must be able to work on your feet for over 90% of the work day. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Previous successful experience in commercial/professional cleaning and relevant work experience. Summary Of Essential Job Duties: Check in with Plant Manager I or II about specific daily needs/events in the building. If no immediate needs, follow buildings' posted schedule of daily work tasks for assigned area. Clean and remove trash in all assigned rooms and areas, including restrooms, according to district cleaning standards. Fill cleaning supplies in areas as needs arise. Be diligent in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms in assigned area. Participate in any special cleaning projects in the building that may be scheduled with the Plant Manager's. Address any repairs needed or issues that need attention to the Plant Manager II. Immediately report any emergencies to the Plant Manager II or the individual in charge. Maintain the safety and security of your assigned area; specifically pay attention to any exterior exits. Report any unauthorized individuals on the premises to the person in charge or call a supervisor. If applicable, be willing to fill-in in the Plant Manager II's area if asked. Make sure you fully understand the building security alarm procedures. Work with and care for district cleaning equipment and tools used. Perform specific assigned duties and projects during summer cleaning and other school breaks. Report off to work and submit time off requests to the Supervisor of Maintenance, according to the guidelines in the local contract. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education. Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent/CEO, the Executive Director of Business Operations, or his/her designee. SALARY: Salary Table D, Salary Range: As per negotiated contract. CONTRACT: Days (52 Week); 8.0 hours per day.
