Plumber II JOB DESCRIPTION GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB An employee in this position is responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of water and waste disposal systems. The employee receives work assignments from the supervisor. New or unusual assignments are accompanied by more detailed instructions. Some errors may be revealed while work is in progress; however, others may not be detected until after work is completed. The employee works with limited supervision. Must be able to: Read Blueprints Lift 100 lbs., stand, climb, bend and sit Measues, cuts, threads, assembles, and installs pipes and tubing Connect valves, caulk joints and test finished job by allowing water to flow through Install water, sanitary fixtures and equipment using supports, hangers or foundations Eliminate leaks by replacing valves or by replacing faulty fittings or sections in line Analyze defects or malfunctions in plumbing systems Working knowledge of the techniques, methods, and tools of the plumbing trade Skill in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in plumbing work Ability to understand and carry out oral or written instructions QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalency NC Driver's License Plumber license based on requirements set forth by the NC Board of Examiners SALARY INFORMATION Pay Grade 63 Full-time, Permanent $2812.35 - $4940.80 (Based on 0-36 years of experience in a school system) APPLICATION PROCESS Please visit our to complete the on-line application and forms necessary to apply for employment with ECPPS.
