Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer

The Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer will oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring, and operation of the Augusta Health Compliance Program. The Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer will exhibit an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles and the legal obligations related to the organization's operations. The Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer reports to the Chief Operating Officer for day-to-day matters, with a dotted line report to the CEO, and is accountable to the Board's Compliance Committee Chair on all such committee-related matters. The Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer will be a member of management. The Compliance Officer, as needed in their discretion, will have immediate access to the Chief Executive Officer, the Board Compliance Committee, and the Chair of the Board of Directors, to disclose and discuss compliance-related matters. The Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, through the Chief Legal Officer will also have access to outside legal counsel as necessary and appropriate to carry out the duties set forth in this job description. Requirements Four-year undergraduate degree. Maintain or obtain compliance officer certification from a nationally recognized compliance association within 24 months of commencing job. At least five years' experience in healthcare management or administration Previous health care compliance experience. Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or equivalent preferred. Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or equivalent preferred. Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC) or equivalent preferred.
