About The Opportunity We are searching for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for the performance of all Accounts Payable functions, including possessing proficient knowledge of accounts payables procedures, ERP financial systems procedures, and basic accounting principles related to the role. In addition to a few years of accounts payable experience, a high degree of professionalism and customer service will make you the ideal candidate! What you will be doing: Review and process invoices for payment including purchase order line-item matching. Prioritize invoices according to cash discount and payment terms. Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve invoice discrepancies. Provide internal customer service to management and field employees as required. Utilize various computer systems and software including Microsoft Office, Sage Office Timberline, TimberScan, Comdata, and Acumatica to perform necessary tasks. Code invoices with appropriate general ledger account. Maintain and update vendor information for 1099 maintenance and subcontract insurance requirements. Prepare analysis of accounts and payment reconciliations. Produce monthly reports and reconcile AP reports to general ledger. Provide internal customer service to management and field employees as required. Assist with other projects as assigned. In order to be successful in this role, here is what we will need from you: Professional attitude and strong work ethics. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in computer applications, including accounting software. Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a regular PC workstation. Lifting requirements include periodically lifting up to 10 lbs. (normal office materials, and paperwork). About You You are an experienced administrative professional with at least three years of relevant accounts payable experience for a large sized company. You will also bring advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Office Timberline, and/or Acumatica systems. In addition to a thorough knowledge of accounts payable functions and ERP procedures, you are also highly detail oriented and organized with strong problem-solving skills. You are able to work independently in a fast-paced and high-volume environment where accuracy and timeliness are key, however you also pride yourself on being a team player that strives to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
