What to Expect: As a Behavior Technician at NeurAbilities, you will work with children in a 1:1 setting in clinics, homes, and schools implementing Applied Behavior Analysis under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. What You Will Do: Per-Diem & Full Time Employees Works one-to-one with clients in an office, home, and/or school setting. Must travel from site to site to visit clients. Schedules for Per-Diem employees are appointment based. Implements instructional and behavior support plans and collects pertinent data. Maintains client program books and materials while establishing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with clients. Assists clients in developing independent daily living, social, and communication skills. Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors using Applied Behavior Analysis therapy strategies. Following the treatment plan goals and interventions. Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively. Educates all those involved about the role of ABA based interventions and functions within boundaries of the Behavior Health Technician role in providing treatment. Utilizes call out line and procedures to document client cancellations and to report availability for sub hours to the Practice Manager or Client Services Coordinator. Full Time Employees Must be available to work a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week and between the hours of 9:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. If a scheduled client session is cancelled, you may be required to provide substitute hours for another client to meet your minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week. If there are no available sub opportunities for the day, will come to the clinic to support day-to-day clinic duties which may include creating materials, supporting BCBA programming, working front desk, or cleaning the clinic. What You Will Bring to the Team: High School Diploma or equivalent Six months of experience working with children and adolescents with Autism and other developmental disabilities is preferred. Ability to communicate well and thrive in both individual and team environments. Ability to remain patient and calm when encountering challenging behaviors. Must be able to travel to all service locations including school, daycare, clinic, and home settings. Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Estimated 20% travel, dependent on need. Travel is local during the business day within your assigned territory between the hours of 7am and 7pm depending upon the assigned caseload. This job operates in a clinic, home, or school environment and routinely uses standard technology such as a computer or tablet. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include prolonged periods of walking, running, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping. Potential for Advancement: Career pathways to BCBA and administrative roles. Monthly BCBA student meeting to prep for board exams.
