The Opportunity MDCalc was founded in 2005 by practicing emergency physicians, Dr. Graham Walker and Dr. Joe Habboushe, to provide a platform that enables clinicians to achieve better patient outcomes, while also providing a superior UI/UX experience. Actively used by more than 65% of US physicians, MDCalc is the most broadly used medical reference - at the point-of-care - for clinical decision tools and content, and one of only four references used by >50% of US HCPs. These evidence-based tools and content are used by millions of medical professionals globally and support 50+ specialties and cover 200+ patient conditions. While healthcare marketing budgets continue to be focused on the shift to digital tactics, spending aimed at HCPs now accounts for 53% of the marketing pie (source). Our user base and advertising partners continue to grow rapidly as we solidify our market position as the top point of care resource and advertising avenue. To continue to further accelerate this growth, we are expanding the life sciences team with a marketing specialist. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who loves creating traction with buyers, while also helping to build and scale a business that has unparalleled reach to HCPs. The Role As the Marketing Lead for our life sciences division, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our advertising offerings to life science clients. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our advertising initiatives and enhance our presence in the life science advertising space. Please note: we are open to contractors, contractor-to-hires, and full-time employees for the right person. The responsibilities of this individual include the following, but are not limited to: Understand MDCalc's unique value proposition Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to promote our advertising services to life science companies Collaborate with leadership to set marketing goals and KPIs Create compelling marketing content, including brochures, presentations, case studies, and whitepapers Develop and maintain a library of marketing collateral that supports the sales team's efforts Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and content marketing Identify relevant industry events and conferences and plan our participation and presence Implement lead generation strategies to identify and nurture potential life science advertising clients Use market insights to inform marketing strategies Your Background 8+ years of marketing experience BA/BS degree preferred; MBA is a plus Proven experience in marketing, preferably in healthcare publishing or life science advertising Strong understanding of the life science industry and advertising trends Excellent communication, copywriting, and content creation skills Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms Data-driven decision-making and analytical abilities Creative thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Personal Characteristics Team Player: Low ego, high impact with a natural agile ability to constantly move between being a tactician and strategist High EQ and IQ: Great communication skills, both in writing and speaking for internal and external interactions Great communication skills, both in writing and speaking Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and excellent follow-through Adept problem solving ability and resourcefulness What MDCalc offers: Ability to make a true difference in medicine: MDCalc is the most broadly used medical reference by physicians, used by 65% of US attending doctors weekly Dynamic, virtual, work from anywhere environment while providing unique experiences every day A culture of fun and motivated team members that believe in a greater mission here at MDCalc
