Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: Determine the classification status of information and ensure compliance with DOE regulations. Preparation of classification guidance and policy documents Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and procedures Determination of information classification status Contribution to national security efforts and safeguards programs Collaboration with team members and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency in classification decisions Requirements Education: Masters Degree in engineering or physical science from an accredited college or university Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to read and understand written English at an academic grade level 15 or above Minimum of ten (10) years of total field experience in nuclear weapons science, nuclear weapons design, nuclear nonproliferation, or nuclear intelligence/counterintelligence Five (5) years of expertise in one of the specified areas of nuclear technology Certification as a current Document Custodian (DC) at the time of hire Strong background in nuclear weapons science, design, nonproliferation, or intelligence/counterintelligence Experience in preparing classification guidance and policy documents Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and DOE procedures
