General Job Description: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc. Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Cleans and lubricates parts. Order replacement parts. Inspects completed repairs. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Requisitions new parts and equipment. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of manufacturing machinery High school diploma or equivalent Five or more years related experience Hands-on knowledge of the mechanics of manufacturing equipment Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring, circuits, etc. Must supply own tools Specific Duties: Plans, coordinates and executes installation of manufacturing equipment to include routine preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical problems and determine how to correct them Plans, coordinates and executes facility and grounds requirements as needed Establish and maintain maintenance records for equipment and facility Order parts supplies and equipment when required to maintain operation of manufacturing facility and grounds Ability to communicate requirements to supervisors and also be independent to complete tasks with hardly any supervision Keep the building and the equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations Ability to work and act in a professional manner as all times This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as it may be deemed necessary.
