Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for the ongoing oversight of the revenue cycle management relationship with the RCM vendor(s). The Director must be able to lead change in a complex multi-layered organization, working with service line vice presidents, executive directors, physician practice leaders, physicians/APPs, finance, revenue cycle leaders, and others to ensure optimal revenue realization through collaboration and issue identification/resolution. The Director will work closely with the COO and RCM vendor(s) to identify opportunities, challenges and deficiencies, escalate issues timely and appropriately to stakeholders for resolution. Education: Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field. Preferred: Masters in Business, Healthcare or related field. Registration/Certification/Licensure : N/A Experience: 10+ years of leadership experience in revenue cycle management Experience in large, complex, multi-facility, organization Multi-service line and global experience Direct experience with all aspects of acute and physician practice, business office operations, to include inpatient and outpatient billing and collections, insurance verification, cash posting, pre-collections, and patient relations. Experience with Cerner, IDX and/or Meditech electronic medical record system preferred. Other Requirements : Well organized and disciplined, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Experience leading/participating in enterprise-wide projects and initiatives. Knowledgeable about the healthcare industry (e.g., managed care/revenue cycle) and translates that information into strategies that add value and improve operations. Outstanding written and oral communication skills; good listening capability; skilled at influencing a variety of people; can structure and effectively lead business meetings. Exceptional interpersonal skills; success at cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and creating partnerships at all levels. Ability to travel locally up to 35%
