This leadership role will forge strategic partnerships with community organizations, VCU/VCU Health faculty, and students to create impactful programs that leverage existing resources and enhance the Health Hub's offerings. The Program Administrator will also work to increase collaboration with local and regional partners, broadening the reach and effectiveness of the Health Hub while fostering a thriving community space. This position involves close collaboration with various VCU departments, units, and centers to identify programming opportunities that meet community needs and provide experiential learning for students. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in communities similar to Richmond's East End and a proven track record of leadership and collaboration with community partners and academic and care coordination teams. The Program Administrator will be part of the Division of Community Engagement and will be based in person at the VCU Health Hub at 25th, serving in an on-site, community-facing role. This position is a key member of a dynamic team that works closely with VCU and VCU Health faculty and staff, which is integral in advancing VCU and VCU Health's Community Engagement priorities. Key Responsibilities: Community Programming: Develop and implement diverse programs and initiatives that address the health priorities and needs of the East End community and leverage VCU/VCU Health programming. Ensure that programs are well-attended and impactful, enhancing the overall well-being of the community. Develop metrics for program tracking and evaluation Partnerships: Develop and expand partnerships to promote innovative, community-identify programming to address community needs. Provide leadership and community perspective in discussions with VCU/VCU Health System Collaborate with internal and external fundraisers to support the continued growth and development of the Health Hub Faculty Support: Assist faculty in developing recruitment pathways and programming at the Health Hub. Serve as a connector between faculty, community partners, and the Health Hub to facilitate collaboration and program development. Supervision and Support: Supervise the Community Health Worker (CHW) who provides navigation, referral, and support services to residents. Provide supervision and support to student interns and VCU students involved in experiential learning projects. Ensure that student projects align with community needs and programming at the VCU Health Hub. Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Manager at the VCU Health Hub to coordinate programs Maintain and sustain strong community partnerships and partnerships with VCU internal stakeholders, as well as VCU Health stakeholders. Position Highlights: This role involves collaborating with community partners and VCU/VCU Health to develop and implement diverse programs addressing the needs of the East End. Supporting student engagement is critical at the Hub, and this role will provide support and direction to ensure projects and experiential learning align with community needs and programming. Qualifications Minimum: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), MPH Degree or related field Extensive experience working in communities similar to Richmond's East End, with a demonstrated ability to apply an asset-based approach, focusing on the strengths and resources of the community to effectively address its unique needs and challenges. Strong community networks, community coordinating, and building community programming skills Proven ability to cultivate and sustain strong community partnerships, leveraging the strengths of diverse partner organizations to develop programs that effectively meet community needs. Experience supervision of students and interns Proven experience in developing and managing programs that effectively align with community needs and organizational goals. Demonstrated organizational skills Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU Preferred: Experience working with diverse community partners, academic, care coordination and clinical teams Strong passion and skill set working directly with community partners and other stakeholders to bring relevant programs to the Health Hub to meet community needs and align with Health Hub priorities Experience in developing programming that aligns with donor priorities and funding requirements, ensuring that initiatives are designed to be impactful and fundable.
