For more information, visit The Sr. Director of Revenue Planning & Analysis is a key link between our executive team and the day-to-day P&L management of the overall North American Rakuten Rewards business. This person is on the forefront of financial performance and will work with a fast-moving, cross-functional team to deliver intelligence on key metrics and strategic recommendations on a go-forward strategy to shape the direction of the business. This is both a hands-on and strategic role; the right person can tell stories with data and will inform and influence strategic decision-making at all levels of the organization. This individual will lead the team that is responsible for the revenue planning and forecasting processes, developing strategic revenue initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals, both at a merchant-level and tops down. While this role lives in the Commercial org under the CRO, there is direct responsibility to Marketing and Finance as well as critical stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in revenue planning and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Background in revenue planning in retail, inventory management, and/or eCommerce is a significant plus. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the development and implementation of the company's revenue planning and forecasting processes. Prepare and manage annual and quarterly revenue forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue projections. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to revenue performance. Prepare and present revenue reports and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders. Develop weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to media and commission targets Analyze and model potential deals with clients - determine profitability outcomes Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive revenue growth and profitability. Develop and implement strategic revenue initiatives to optimize profitability and market share. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop pricing strategies, sales incentives, and promotional programs. Monitors, reports on and escalates revenue and margin risks associated with merchant commission changes, reversals, reseller impact, fraud. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue planning activities. Lead and mentor a team of revenue planning professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their professional development and performance. Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to achieve their objectives. Work closely with senior leadership, including the VP of Finance, CFO, CMO and other executives, to align revenue planning with overall business strategy. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sales, marketing, product, and finance teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful revenue strategies in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to senior management and stakeholders. Proficiency in financial planning software and tools, such as Excel, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, revenue planning, or a related field, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements. USD $157,464.00 - $293,760.00 annually
