Job summary: Under general supervision, distributes either production or non - production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts and in process parts, return-to-stock parts among other materials. Responsibilities: Maintains Inventory Accuracy Moves parts, WIP or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations. Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, rolling carts or forklifts. Maintains the required documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures. Drives in various road conditions, small roadways, highways. Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner. Ensure all material and inventory remains properly identified and stored free from damage or deterioration. Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area. Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled per assigned department. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day-to-day basis. Requirements: Three (3) years- experience in warehouse environment Forklift experience preferred. Attention to detail. Proficient in computer use for data entry, part scanning or transacting, printing of picklist and schedule review. Meet minimum standards of safety and housekeeping per assigned department. Have a valid Ohio Driver's License. Ability to read metric tape measures and use measuring devices. Ability to perform all operations within acceptable inventory accuracy, quality and time standards. Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance. Ability to work with arms above head. Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding. Ability to stand at a workstation for eight hours a day (minus specified breaks.) Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards. Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery. Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Hand-Eye coordination. Required to handle and dispose of hazardous waste. Understanding and carrying out required oral and written directions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is elevated.
